Meetings start at 7:00 pm with a Meet and Greet session.

Salt Creek Clean Up schedule

Saturday, May 17th - 9:00AM (this is a date change from the 10th)
Meet at the LaGrange Park Forest Preserve Picnic Area 31st Street and LaGrange Road at 9AM for waiver signing and location directions. Remember to dress for the day’s weather.
Please come to help remove debris along and in the Salt Creek and participate in (or just witness) log jam removal by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, Cook County Forest Preserve, and Huff & Huff, Inc. environmental engineers and scientists. Canoes, Jon boats and professional staff and equipment will be used to pull heavy branches to maintain an open waterway for enhanced kayak and canoeing on Salt Creek.
Huff & Huff will present a demonstration/lecture on the water quality of Salt Creek at 11:00 after which the company will provide a free barbeque lunch for participants at 11:30 am.
This annual event offers a wonderful opportunity for family, church, school and scout groups to participate in maintaining one of our community’s resources.

Meet at Elk Grove High School parking lot along the creek. Saturday June 7th, 2008 - 9:00am to Noon.

Saturday June 7 - Cricket Creek Forest Preserve
From about 9:00 am until about 2 or 3 pm, however long people want to work. Come prepared! Meet in the shelter on the north side of Fullerton Ave., east of Villa Ave. You can call Jan at 630-832-4876 for more information, or just show up at 9:00.

The Salt Creek Watershed Network holds meetings the first Monday of the month, except for the Mondays following some holiday weekends.
